One of my staff is leaving in a few weeks, so I wanted to make him card for the team to sign. He is German, so I popped “alles gute” on the card which according to the interwebs translates to “All the best” in German. Fingers crossed.
The card doesn’t feel right yet, so if you have an idea on how to “fix it” do leave me a comment. I’d like to have it completed before I fly out in 3 days time.
This is case of Chrissie Stokes card from less is more, which is the challenge set at less is more this week. I first saw this technique on Ardyth’s blog.
I have been trying to find a way to use my new speech bubbles dies from Simon Says Stamp. Decided to pair them with a cute penny black image.
This time next week I will be on a plane heading back to the UK. I kinda hate flying, but I am also kinda lucky that I get to see the world as much as I do!! 🙂 This trip is a “highlights” tour of some of my favorite places, and will include: Oxford, Florence, Venice, New York and San Francisco.
When I travel, I tend to take lots of thank you cards, as the kindness of people on the road is really quite awesome. This is one I made today. I have had the flu, and I am beginning to feel a little better today, so decided to make a card. This card fits in with the CASology challenge cue: word.
I had a lot of fun making a “tag” index of all of my inks/paints and stains. I was amazed at how many colors I had (58!!) …
… it was also fascinating to see how the different mediums stamped detail versus block images.
I am continuing to love playing with my new distress paints!! 🙂 These journal pages are not complete (and don’t have any words at the moment) but I have had a lot of fun making the base of each page!! 🙂
I had fun playing with my new distress paints (and a couple of embossing folders) to make a few thank you cards:
I am loving using my inktense pencils. The page on the right is using watercolor paper (from simon says stamp), it totally rocks!! 🙂 The page on the left is cardstock + gesso. I used the same pencils and look how differently they turned out. I also used a paint splash stamp from rubbadubbadoo on the page on the right.
