Less is more challenge this week is to water colour. I water coloured this cute image from penny black using distress inks. I also used my SLR camera to take the photo for the first time instead of my iPhone (and some hints from Debby Hughes about taking good shots of your cards), made a huge difference.
I have been playing with scene stamping recently, and this is my third attempt and my first one that I have finished successfully. I love playing with ink and colouring images. I have been learning a lot about this style of card making by watching Kevin’s (who designed these stamp’s) youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/stampscapes
For the first time in a lot of months … I made a card!! 🙂 It felt so good. I enjoyed using some new paper smooches dies, and a fab lawn fawn alphabet stamp, … and most of all the cutest little dude from purple onion designs. I also got to use embossing paste through the simon says stamp falling snow stencil.
Fab card to make, hope my crafty friend that it is for likes it too! 🙂
Have a fab day!! 🙂
The one layer Wednesday challenge is to have one image stamp, one ink color and one sentiment stamp …
I really love this sketched image from the wetlands stampin up set … and it looks great water-colored etc … but it also looks pretty great just by itself, so here tis.
Thanks for stopping by!! 🙂
I know that someone used this stamp on a blog that I follow … and I went “wow, I have to get that stamp!!” … and I did but it was quite a long time between the noticing it and purchasing it phases … so apologies but I can no longer remember who inspired this card. Isn’t this image great! 🙂
I saw this great card by Ardyth which had white embossing on white cardstock, and I thought … “I need to try this” …. so this is my first attempt 🙂
I decided to splurge and get a new alphabet die, and I went with My Favorite Things. Fabulous die, cuts like butter 🙂 … also enjoying continuing to play with my distress paints!! 🙂
